Silent Treatment (Sunday, April 9, 2006)
Ever hear someone say that a cancer patient can't get help until he "hits bottom" or hear of a person with severe chest pains being allowed to go about his business until he "is ready to be helped"? Of course not. It woud be completely ridiculous to ignore serious illnesses.
Addictive diseases should NOT be given the "silent treatment" any more than other serious medical conditions.
